Latvia: use the organiser register, not the supplier list
Latvia’s State Revenue Service publishes a licensed gambling organiser list with company details, permitted activities and websites. It separately lists gambling service providers. These records serve different purposes: a supplier’s presence does not establish permission to hold a player’s casino account.

- Look for the interactive-gambling activity associated with the actual organiser and domain.
- Older articles may point to earlier institutional pages or use an outdated register copy.
- Read the original Latvian conditions before translating deposit, credit, turnover or withdrawal terms.
What the official information establishes
Look for the interactive-gambling activity associated with the actual organiser and domain. A brand can operate different country websites under different entities or permissions. A Latvian account should not be checked against another country’s version merely because the logo is identical. Save the exact official entry and check date.
The distinction a bonus page can miss
Older articles may point to earlier institutional pages or use an outdated register copy. The current VID page provides a practical starting point, but its presence does not eliminate the need to check status and product. Avoid reproducing a fixed operator count as if it were permanent; a dated entry is more useful than a headline about how many casinos exist.
Player protection and unresolved questions
Read the original Latvian conditions before translating deposit, credit, turnover or withdrawal terms. A promotion’s display currency does not establish legal availability, and a valid permission does not make a reward risk-free. If gambling is becoming difficult to control, independent support and official exclusion information take priority over preserving a points balance.
Apply the local distinction
Imagine an account page presents a Latvian service-provider licence for a studio whose games appear in its lobby. The studio may genuinely be listed, yet the consumer’s contract could belong to another business. Use VID’s organiser list to resolve that relationship. The list’s separate company and activity fields are especially useful here. A correctly quoted supplier credential should not be stretched into a conclusion about the account operator’s interactive-gambling permission.
Common questions
Can I verify an operator using the service-provider list?
Not by that alone. Identify the licensed organiser and relevant interactive activity.
Does a neighbouring-country brand site prove Latvian permission?
No. Match the actual local domain and legal entity to the Latvian record.
