Accessibility
How to navigate our guides with a keyboard, read charts as text and use the library on different screens.
Read, navigate and calculate in your own way
The site uses semantic page headings, keyboard-accessible links and controls, visible focus indicators, labelled search fields and text alternatives for meaningful images. There is a skip-to-content link at the start of each page.
Small screens and text size
The layout adapts to phones and tablets, and text can be enlarged using your browser. Wide comparison tables can scroll within their container. The main information is HTML text rather than text embedded only in images.
Charts and tools
Chart values are printed beside each bar so colour or bar length is not the only way to read them. Calculator fields have labels, and results or validation messages are announced as a live region. Reduced-motion preferences disable nonessential transitions.
Known limits
We have not commissioned an independent accessibility certification. External sources and support services control their own accessibility. If a visual comparison is difficult to use, read the adjacent table, explanation and source.
